If there was an award for the most emotion and love seen at a wedding, then Lorraine and Padraig’s winter wedding at Lyrath Estate in Kilkenny would definitely be on the shortlist to win the prize. This was such a beautiful day, so full of love, laughter and happy tears. For a documentary wedding photographer like myself, who lives for capturing genuine heartfelt moments. This wedding was an absolute pleasure to be a part of.
Lorraine and Padraig are such a brilliant couple and couldn’t have made me feel more welcome. Add to that the Lyrath Estate, a really beautiful wedding venue in Kilkenny. Amazing winter crisp weather (it was one of those crisp winter days with blue skies and the sun shining). This was a wedding that really did have everything – including super cute flower girls!

Lorraine and Padraig’s love story blossomed at the Galway Races in 2016, a chance encounter at the popular summer races in the west of Ireland bringing them together.
They were dating just three years when Padraig popped the question, the romantic backdrop of the Amalfi coast forever more a special place in the story of their lives.
The trip was a surprise present for Lorraine’s 30th birthday and little did she know there was something a little extra – and sparkly! – patiently waiting for her upon landing in Italy.

Lyrath Estate Country House was the choice for the wedding venue for the bride and groom. Long ago, Lorraine was dreaming to have their wedding happen at this Venue as it has its magnificence and charm that some venues might be missing. A perfect wedding venue with beautiful grounds and gorgeous sunsets.

Tip for Winter Weddings: at winter weddings the sun sets quite early, so we had to be quick before it got too dark.
